The Living Christmas Tree by Kristin Sponaugle is one of the sweetest stories I’ve ever read. The idea that the Christmas tree comes to life each night is incredible.

My Review
I adored each one of the ornaments and their interactions with each other and the children. Santa and Frosty are my favorites, but Jack the Nutcracker is hilarious. The premise that the magic of Christmas allows the tree and everyone who lives on it to come to life each night makes me giddy. I may be far from a small child, but I too believe in the magic of Christmas, so I will keep the magic in my heart that our tree also comes to life.
The illustrations in this picture book are wonderful. The colors are bright, and each page holds a new treasure. The font works well with the illustrations. None of the elements of the book clash with each other, making it easy to read.
I award The Living Christmas Tree a full 5 out of 5 stars. I can’t imagine there is a kid out there who wouldn’t enjoy this book. Christmas magic is certainly the best kind of magic. I hope you share it with your kids or grandkids. You’ll be glad you did.
