Srividhya Lakshmanan gives kids a wonderful picture book full of sleeping animals to lull children to sleep. The title tells it all. This story pulls from a child’s curious mind about how, where, and when animals sleep. It is adorable, and the illustrations are remarkable.

My Review of Do They All Sleep? – *Spoilers*

A young child on their father’s lap asks different animals about how they sleep. Each animal has a fitting name to its species, such as Tents for the octopus. That one is my favorite, by the way. There is also a matching rhyme for where each animal sleeps (Tents sleeps behind a coral reef in the ocean).

I can’t even begin to tell you how incredibly adorable this little book is. There are so many animals, and there were bits in there that I didn’t know about various animals’ sleeping habits. The red panda is also a favorite of mine. Apparently, the little guy hangs by its tail while sleeping. I had no idea. But, boy, is he cute.

The pictures are vivid and interesting. I swear I sat here and looked at those pictures for about an hour, just marveling about how great they were. Akansha Krishnan is a natural illustrator. You should see the bird it is beautiful! But, more than just interesting, the pictures are also fun and keep character well with the storyline.

I award Do They All Sleep a full 5 out of 5 stars. I know that every friend or relative who has a baby coming will be getting a copy of this book from me, and I hope you share it with your little ones. They will love it.
