Hello friends! I’m here on this warm and sunny Sunday to tell you all what I’ve done this week. This is my first time with a Sunday Wrap-Up post and I hope you enjoy it.
This Week in Life
I started my weight loss journey about 4 weeks ago, and things have been going well until this week. I lost 10 pounds over 3 weeks then this week I gained 2 pounds. But, it was due to eating over my calorie budget and not exercising as much as I should have been.
My Whole Foods Plant Based diet sort of went south with having eaten takeout twice over the course of the week, which was no good. After that I felt so sluggish and bloated that walking was not high on my list of priorities, and I suffered for it. I’ve been doing much better since Tuesday, which is weigh in day.
The weather has been dismal. It has been cold and rainy with frost nearly every night. It finally got better two days ago, and it’s been warm with sunshine which has been lovely. It certainly makes looking out the patio doors to see the wildlife much better.
The Week in Blogging
I had 9 posts over the last week. Four of them were reviews, one was a discussion post about why I love book blogging, and the rest were memes or tags.
For quick reference here is the list:
- Why I Love Being a Book Blogger
- Things To Do Before the End of the World by Emily Barr
- Top 10 Tuesday – Nature Covers
- Wondrous Word Wednesday – Biblioklept
- Life in Books Tag
- First Line Friday – Can you guess the book?
- Paradiso by Francesca Scanacapra
- We Toot by Ashley Wheelock, Arwen Evans, and Sandie Sonke
- Songs For Your Mother by Gordon MacMillan
This Week in Yarn
My dad asked me to make him two afghans about five years ago. The squares aren’t hard, but they are complex and I have been procrastinating on making the stupid things for far to long. I am finally to the point where I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I was able to complete 2 of the squares this week, which has me dancing a jig. When I started the week, I thought I only had 4 more squares to go, but I actually had six more. So, now with the two from this week, I am actually at four left to go. I might have this blanket done this month friends!

Here is one of the squares for you to see what I am doing. Each square uses 5 balls of yarn at the same time which is a tangly awful mess that takes a good 5 hours to complete.

And for comparison, this is the first blanket that I completed last year. The sand dollar blanket will be similar.
This Week in Bookmail
I received two gorgeous books this week for reviews coming up in August. The one on the left is Beloved Woman by Sheri Peppers. The one on the right is Rising Star by Michele Kwasniewski which is the first in her Rise and Fall of Dani Trueheart series. I am looking forward to both of these beauties.

Great post Kimmie. I love it. Glad you are back on track with your goals. You’ve had a prolific week on the blog and your blanket squares are lovely! It does finally feel like spring might be here? Congrats on your week!
Thank you lovely. I hope spring is finally here. ?
Well, I guess I can comment if I comment as Twitter BearMountainBooks. I knew I could outsmart the internet…erk!
Don’t sweat the eating thing. We all need to eat out once in a while and we all forgo our walks now and then (like me, today). Those squares you did are awesome. And the first throw is gorgeous. Keep up the good work!
Thank you lovely!! I am so glad you outsmarted WordPress. That takes major talent that I still haven’t figured out yet. ?❤️
You are doing so well with all of your goals! Hopefully the coming week will be amazing!
Thank you lovely. I hope so. ?❤️
