Josie Jaffrey gives us a peek into the world she has built in her new Seeker’s series with Killian’s Dead. This fabulous little novella gives just enough background information to be up to speed when you start May Day, the first book in the series.

Synopsis of Killian’s Dead
Love is for losers.
Jack doesn’t care about anything except music. All she wants to do is find a decent gig, stand by the speakers and let the bass roll through her. It’s the only reason she gets out of bed.
Until she meets Winta. In the space of a second, everything is different. Winta knows what she wants and for one night, what she wants is Jack. It feels like the start of forever.
Then Winta disappears and Jack faces a choice: should she go back to her life, or track down the only girl who can change it beyond recognition

One things’ certain: Jack has no idea what she’s getting herself into.
My Review
Jack is getting her fix of loud bass in a club when she meets the mysterious Winta. After a great night with her new friend, Jack wants nothing more than to share every night with the tantalizing Winta.
But, Winta belongs to a dangerous secret society and has disappeared. The problem is that Winta has gone rogue, and this means trouble for Jack.
Jack’s search for the elusive Winta brings her more questions than answers. When Jack finds Winta, there is nothing but confusion.
All Jack knows is that the first person she sees after the escape is Killian. But all she can think about is the death of this strange but powerful man.
I enjoyed this sneak peek into one of the best series I have started this year. Learning Jack’s backstory was thrilling and left me wanting to know more. Jack is an enthralling character, and her introduction to the secret society was a joy to read.
I award Killian’s Dead 4 out of 5 stars.
